The 25-year-old scored twice during Germany’s opening win over Curacao, before setting up Deniz Undav’s late winner against Ivory Coast on Saturday evening.
Nmecha’s performances at the tournament follow an impressive period at Dortmund, where he’s emerged as one of the Bundesliga’s most impressive box-to-box midfielders. Premier League clubs have taken note, with TEAMtalk reporting that Nmecha is open to a return to England.
The German came through the academy at Manchester City, but made only three first-team appearances before returning to Germany.
A Premier League transfer is now deemed a ‘very realistic’ prospect this summer, despite Nmecha only signing a new deal at Dortmund in March.

His contract contains no release clause, though sources around the player have hinted a fee of around €60m (£52m) could persuade the German side to sell.
Real Madrid and Barcelona have also both checked in on the player’s progress and are monitoring his situation.
