Inter are weighing a move for Roma centre-back Evan Ndicka this summer, with the Giallorossi holding firm on a €35 million asking price for the 26-year-old who is contracted in the capital until 2028.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Ndicka has emerged as a profile of genuine interest for Cristian Chivu’s backline rebuild, with the club actively modelling how the defence would look with both Ndicka and Oumar Solet operating as a pairing.

The context is straightforward: Francesco Acerbi departs at the end of his contract, and Stefan De Vrij is seriously evaluating an offer from Panathinaikos. Two potential exits from the back three demand quality replacements, not depth signings.

Roma’s Leverage – and Inter’s Calculation on Fee

Roma’s negotiating position is strong. They signed Ndicka on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023, meaning any sale is pure profit, and a four-year contract running to 2028 gives them no urgency to discount. The €35m figure is consistent across multiple Italian reports, though some outlets have placed the number as low as €30m or as high as €40m depending on how commissions and payment structure are counted.

Ndicka made 42 appearances last season, so this is not a speculative punt – he arrives as a proven Serie A operator. His appeal to Inter also carries a contingency dimension: Italian reports have previously framed him as a priority target if Alessandro Bastoni were to attract a major offer.
