The United States isn't taking anything for granted at the World Cup, but manager Mauricio Pochettino knows Thursday's match against Turkey is effectively meaningless.

Team USA has already secured its spot atop Group D and knows it will be playing in the Round of 32.

The Americans' sights, of course, are much higher than just the Round of 32. Their group win opens up what could be a favorable path through the early rounds of the knockout stage, but it starts with their opening match as the World Cup shifts to its tournament phase.

Who does USA play in World Cup Round of 32?

The United States' Round of 32 opponent isn't officially set, but it will almost certainly be Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After Bosnia's win over Qatar on Wednesday, 329 of 330 possible scenarios set up a matchup between the nation and Team USA. While South Africa's win over South Korea kept that unlikely scenario on the table, it would still take a highly unlikely serious of events for the U.S. to play anyone other than Bosnia at the start of the knockout stage.
