Las Vegas Raiders rookie wide receiver Malik Benson is garnering positive attention this offseason. Benson got the chance to show what he’s made of during the team’s offseason program, and made his presence felt as the Raiders look to define their WR2 slot for the 2026 season.
The sixth round rookie was named by ESPN as the under-the-radar player for the Raiders that has turned heads with his impressive play throughout the team’s practices this offseason.
“The Raiders drafted Benson in the sixth round with the belief that the former Oregon wideout could be a vertical threat who opens up the offense and makes explosive plays. He showcased that ability throughout OTAs and minicamp. He and quarterback Fernando Mendoza developed a strong connection during practices. Benson was Mendoza's go-to target during team drills, especially in the middle of the field.”
Benson impressed in his single season at Oregon in 2025, showing himself to be a dynamic wide receiver that made a variety of brilliant catches that came his way throughout the year. And putting him on the NFL's radar.

Jack Bech will strive to be Las Vegas’ WR2 for the remainder of the offseason. Jalen Nailor will vie for the second-most targets among all Raiders wide receivers next season out of the slot. However, Benson has a level of talent that may service the Raiders well in 2026 as their secondary WR from the onset of his career.
