MLB relief pitcher power rankings entering week 14

The 2026 MLB All-Star Game is a little more than three weeks away. Players are making pushes to represent their respective leagues in Philadelphia. Certain players have pushed through early-season slumps while others are continuing to perform at elite levels. Entering Week 14, here are the top 10 relief pitchers in the league.

1. Mason Miller, San Diego Padres

Miller is the undisputed top MLB relief pitcher. He ranks first in WHIP and ERA among MLB closers. He is second in saves among MLB relief pitchers.

2. Cade Smith, Cleveland Guardians

The electric closer leads MLB in saves. He is one of three MLB relief pitchers with at least 18 saves and no more than eight walks surrendered. He is headed to end the season with the most saves.

3. Louis Varland, Toronto Blue Jays

Varland has been one of the best stories of any MLB relief pitcher. Since taking over the closer role, Varland has been perfect in save chances and is one of three closers with an ERA and WHIP under 0.90. He is in contention for his first All-Star selection.

5. Aroldis Chapman, Boston Red Sox

Chapman is perfect in save chances and has an ERA and WHIP below 1.00. At 38 years old, he is still one of MLB’s best in the ninth inning of games. Aroldis Chapman will be one of the top relief pitchers available at the trade deadline.

6. Jacob Latz, Texas Rangers

Latz is having a fantastic season as Texas’s closer. He ranks first in WHIP among MLB closers. He has the second-lowest batting average against among all MLB pitchers who have pitched at least 20 innings.

7. Bryan Baker, Tampa Bay Rays

Baker has solidified Tampa Bay’s ninth-inning role throughout the season. Entering the week, he ranks third in saves. He is one of three MLB relief pitchers with at least 18 saves and an ERA under 1.90.

8. Dylan Lee, Atlanta Braves

Lee has been outstanding as one of Atlanta’s setup men. He is tied for third in holds. He has the lowest combined ERA and WHIP among MLB leaders in holds.

9. Paul Sewald, Arizona Diamondbacks

Sewald has been a stalwart at the back end of Arizona’s bullpen. He is one of three closers with a WHIP below 0.75. Entering the week, he is tied for fourth in saves among MLB relief pitchers.

10. Robert Suarez, Atlanta Braves

Suarez is part of Atlanta’s bullpen that ranks first in MLB. He has been outstanding in his first season with the Braves. Entering the week, he is the only MLB relief pitcher with at least 10 holds and an ERA and WHIP below 0.90.
